These terms of use apply to the use of Inkward via:

3. Service Description

Inkward digitizes and analyzes handwritten journal entries. The service includes:

4. Subscription and Duration

4.1 Subscription Plans

Inkward offers various subscription periods (e.g., monthly, yearly). Current prices and available plans are displayed in the app or on our website before you subscribe.

4.2 Automatic Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the end of the current billing cycle.

4.3 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed including applicable taxes. Payment is processed depending on the platform:

Web (inkward.life): Billed via Stripe. Accepted payment methods: credit card, SEPA direct debit, and other methods supported by Stripe.

Apple App Store: Billed through your Apple ID account according to Apple’s terms.

Google Play Store: Billed through your Google account according to Google’s terms.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period – you can continue using Inkward until then.

6.1 Cancel via the Website

If you subscribed via inkward.life, you can cancel in your account settings.

6.2 Cancel via the Apple App Store

Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Inkward → Cancel Subscription.

6.3 Cancel via Google Play

Open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions → select Inkward → Cancel subscription.

7. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. This right expires early if you have expressly consented to immediate service delivery and the service has been fully provided.

For purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the respective platform’s refund policies apply.

8. Price Changes

We reserve the right to adjust subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree with the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

9. Availability

We strive for high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance and updates may cause temporary limitations.

10. Your Content

Your journal entries and personal data belong to you. We use your content solely to provide the service (handwriting recognition, analysis, mirroring). Your data is not shared with third parties.

11. Limitation of Liability

Inkward’s analyses and reflections are intended for personal reflection and do not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. We accept no liability for decisions you make based on the analyses.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms of use. Material changes will be communicated via email or in the app. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers residing in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence additionally apply.
